I just want to say 'Hi!' and introduce myself on here. I am from central Illinois and for once in my life I am at a loss for words! Other than that, I love my Carnies.

Welcome!  "Central Illinois" can mean a lot of different things depending on who you are talking to.

I grew up in Shelby County.

Thank you for the welcome. Yes, that is true about central Illinois. I live near the Illinois River in Mason County.  :)
