Training Day
« on: May 06, 2008, 12:36:56 pm »
I have been receiving pressure from members of the PBC Beekeepers Assoc to take them on a cut out. And do a real live training day.

I finally agreed.

The result was an old Spanish stucco mother in law cottage.

No queen in the hive either. So it was somewhat sad. i just put one of fatbeemans in. All is wonderful.

The students all got dirty. One even managed through a veil to get a piece of ash in her eye.

And we had one step and break the main pvc pipe to the well head at the pump.

All items I dealt with. Students are now heavily tramatized and should be fine with Xanax and therapy.

The bees were great.

You will note pictures of wood in bad shape all went to homeowner who needs major structural repairs.

Some ugly comb huh? I had one the other day so pitiful looking I didn't dare post it. I felt sad for them. Hardly any bees and ugly comb.

That hive swarmed out? find emerged cells?

Thanks for the pics.

Did you at least charge them admission? :-D

See how easy that was!

Excellent tutorial class. I wish I had attended before I went down this path. I feel like I am the only person doing removals in the whole county. From zero calls to too many this year. i guess ferals are back, which is nice thing.
