I made this feeder (Braun feeder) after looking at plans for a miller type on beesource.com. The only problem (if you can call it that) was if you fill it too much it will ferment befor being consumed. Other than that large amounts of bees may feed at same time and frame floats with level of feed.

Celtic,
Can you tell us a little bit more about this Braun feeder. From looking at the dimensions, it appears that you fill it externally. But how do you keep bees (and the weather) out of the filling area? Is there an additional cover?
