hoping for a good winter!!!
« on: December 03, 2008, 09:25:46 pm »
Well like most of the last 3 years we had no fall flow here, and I am behind on feeding, I get tide up with so much stuff ( like this year building a horse barn) it seams like that I tend to think well the bee's can wait another week because weather looks good, well like most times these past few years I get to feed because the weather warms above 60 degrees,s for a day or 2, I was feeding bee's tonight because it is going to be warm the next few days and some next week so I will feed again so my hives don't starve in case we get a long winter, some times I could kick myself for not just feeding them when I see they might be light on stores but like a dummy I dont then I worry, I am sharing this because I know there are others out there that have the same thinking, These droughts are killing me, hope we have a good year so each hive can fill 2 supers like normal with fall flow honey.
THAT's ME TO THE LEFT JUST 5 MONTHS FROM NOW!!!!!!!!

TwT,

I see on "Doomsday and the earth will be completely destroyed by humans channel" aka "the weather channel", that the drought has been bad down your way. Sorry to hear that.

I have many lighter than normal hives going into winter. If it's not one thing, it's another.

I'll think about you tonight as I eat from that huge bad of Georgian pecans sent to me from Hardemans.  :-D
