Have you lost some due to swarming or have you simply heard they like to swarm?

WetlandBee.  Welcome to our forum.  That was a terrible loss back in 1990, that was alot of colonies to lose, sorry to hear that.  It has not diminished your desire to keep bees though, that is good, you are getting back into them, you are held under their spell, as we all are, they have that way about them.

When you have a moment, update your profile so we know where you live.

THis will be a place where you can tell your stories, tales, experiences, a place to make new friends too.  You will have lots of advice to give, and may wish advice too, we love to listen and help. Have a wonderful and awesome day, great health, attract it, it will come.  Cindi

WetlandBee, I have Russians too.  Hardy bees, I've had good luck with mine.  Welcome aboard.
