Hive inspection day 9

This afternoons hive inspection of packages installed on foundation nine days ago showed drawn comb with syrup and some pollen but no larva. Is it too early to see larva?

It could be. When was the queen released?

From the time the queen is released until she starts laying can be as long as two weeks. Eggs can be hard to see, but they hatch at three days, and then you'll see larva.
