Basic hive.
« on: July 02, 2010, 09:31:13 pm »
I have TBH's but want to do a Langstroth hive. I would like to keep it light, no foundation, and a basic hive. Any suggestions would be great!

I went out to look at a hive, they were washboarding, stepped in to take a closer look...BAM! right in the throat! Guess I wont do that again!

Go for it then! I started 6 out of 7 packages without foundation in April and they are all doiing great. Built my hive bodies out of both pine and cyprus. The cyprus tends to be a little heavier though.
