Beekeepers New Year?
« on: July 22, 2004, 09:20:17 am »
I was told by a commercial beekeeper that Aug. 1st was the beekeepers new year.

Days are getting shorter, queen is laying less & the beekeepers prepare for winter. If so...Happy New Year all!

Ugh!  Not hard to tell from my vantage point...  My girls are "moody"...  One voiced her opinion last night on my right leg...  But, I evened it out by saving one from drowning in the pool...  They seem to like the pool better than the garden pond (which is closer to the hive) *sigh*....
