Installing a nuc - how to do this

I have the privilege of managing one of two Metro Atlanta Bee Association hives at the Blue Heron Nature Preserve. We got our nucs, boiling over with bees on Saturday, and installed them today. If you are a new beekeeper getting nucs, the posts on my blog about this project might be helpful to you - it's pictures at least and not just words!

First step - setting the nuc up at the hive

- installing the frames from the nuc into the hive
I'm documenting this project as we go, so there will be more on this particular hive, inspections, etc. as the spring moves on.
Hope it's helpful,
Linda T in Atlanta

The Northern Lights have seen queer sights, but the queerest they ever did see, what the night on the marge of Lake Lebarge, I cremated Sam McGee. Robert Service
