I hate stories like that. It makes bees look bad all around. I don't doubt that it happened, but that's pretty much a rare occurance. And it just keeps people scared of bees.

Most peoplel are afraid of bees.I have found that when you tell people that you are a beekeeper it is the inquisitive that have no fear.

I've also found that people refer to wasps and hornets as "bees" too, and really have no idea there's a difference. I think it's a horrible insult to my girls.  :wink:

Now that I've read it--what nonsese! A dog was stung a few times. One guys was covered in bees and not stung. And one guy was stung once on the ear. Big deal! Some terror.
