I would have to think that the gun went off as he was trying to finish the fox off with the butt of his gun.  Stupid move.

I had a friend that go shot by a bush. She leaned the rifle against a tree to relieve herself. When done she grabbed the muzzle of the gun and a twig pulled the trigger. She died of gunshot wound to the chest.

that's terrible jerrrymac, I'd think she didn't have the safety switch on,  didn't catch the fox shoots man story.. how odd..

My only accident took place in my mid twenties when I was after a wild hog, looked like a full grown chester white, I was way too nervous, thought it might turn on me so I wasn't paying close enough attention to where I was I walking, well it was combined with a slow jog. anyway,

Took the safety off during this time while taking position to try and get that shot in. The hog was out in the open headed for some thick bush with a few trees getting in the way. I just had to move in a little more, when I did, I pulled up the rifle about the same time I found myself falling head first down a little 20 ft deep ravine. The gun went off when I hit bottom. didn't get hurt, got scared and felt real stupid. happened fast.

I wonder who this is?

Isn't it amazing how deer understand man made signs?
