Will bees make use of frames built of aluminum?

Thanks-

Those would probably be really cold in the winter and hot in the summer

Somone used to sell fully drawn alumimum comb.  I notice it's no longer on the market.  Heat tranfer properties of aluminum would in no way resemble those of wax or wood.  :)

AH, yes, the heat.  Was kinda figuring that the aluminum frame would stay the same temp as the rest of the hive, being out of the sun and what not.
But as this is soon to be my first attempt at beekeeping, I guess I'll build with more traditional material.

Oh well, I'm sure I'll find some other use for all this bar stock I have. :)

Another problem would probably be sun intensity.  If when your inspecting its hot and the sun's bright the alluminum may beat up enough to melt the edges of the wax.
