Mark,

I on purpose don't buy a great camera because I always take it out to the beehives and couldn't see scraping honey, etc off of something that I had paid a lot for -- not to mention that I have dropped and ruined one camera in this process already  :'( :'( :'(
I can be quite a klutz when I'm trying to manage a lot at once and sometimes the camera is the victim of that ;) ;)

I don't always get the best pictures, but I have a good record of my experience and occasionally get a really good picture.  I have recently found that putting the camera on a tripod eliminates SOME of the sticky aspects of using a camera in the bee yard  :-D

Cody, I love the closeup of the bee head.  Nice pics, thanks.  Have a wonderful day.  Cindi

Tillie has a good point! But they do have this armor stuff I was reading about in Shutter Bug for DSLR's that is like padding for the camera body, and they have extra strength hoods to help protect the lenses too.
