is it just me, or does the british spelling contain a bit more of a french accent?
especiall the word m. bush pointed out: "centre" and "colour"

Ah, that is where using the spell checker drives me out of my mind.  All my words are the British spelled way and the spell checker is American.  So, every time it encounters my British spelling it points it out.  I add the British to my computer spell checker dictionary and maybe just one day, maybe years down the road, I will have encountered all the words that can be spelled so differently.

The ones that stick out in my head right now are:

organized, organised
favourite, favorite
cheque, check
honour, honor
