I am not a farmer (althought I was) and I am not in MA (I am in VT) but I have planted buckwheat to help feed my 2 hives.  I am curious what your question was going to bee.

I grow buckwheat, but not a lot of it.  It self-seeds and is blooming now. I have read that bees only get nectar from buckwheat in the mornings and late afternoons, nothing inbetween.  I have no proof of this, only what I have read.  Have a wonderful day, great life.  Cindi

I asked about MA buckwheat growers because I would like to bring my bees to the field toget some of my favorite honey.
