M&M's BLUE honey crop in France...

American blood spilled to protect the freedom and peace of people all over the world.  320,000 USA casualties in WWI, 1,076,000 USA casualties in WWII, 128,000 USA casualties in the Korean War, 211,000 casualties in the Vietnam "conflict", 57,000 USA casualties in "War on Terror".  Benghazi, Libya, 13 USA casualties. These figures don't include 70,000 MIA.  But, the leaders of one political party of the United States of America continue to make the statement..."What difference does it make?".

"We can't expect the American People to jump from Capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of Socialism, until they awaken one day to find that they have Communism."..."The press is our chief ideological weapon." - Nikita Khrushchev

"Always go to other people’s funerals, otherwise they wont come to yours." - Yogi Berra

Yes, the honey crop was wasted.

Keep in mind as honey standards are set in place around the country. That adulteration of honey would be not allowed. And bees have a knack of collecting from soda cans, recycling bins, and from any other sugar source. You can not control where a bees collect from. But defining honey as from only collected from "Floral" sources, opens up the possibility that any tested honey will be condemned, even with no foul play from the beekeeper. And I bet most beekeepers have something other than floral sources of honey in their hives.

Red honey.........

Don't you mean Big Red Soda honey?

Dye some of your feed with pokedot food coloring this fall and see if some of it doesn't show up in your honey supers next summer.

Bees (at least my bees) can't follow instructions worth a hoot.  If they did this whole forum would be unnecessary, you would just need to send the queen a registered letter telling he what you want her to do and then forget about it, instead of sitting up all night trying to out think 20 pounds of insects.

Come to think of it there would be no need for either a veil or a smoker in that case, just a good understanding between bee and man about what we humans expected from our bees.

I can see it now.
Hurry... Hurry... Hurry... step right up.  Ladies and gentlemen for 10 cents, just one thin dime, 1/10th of one dollar I will sell... I mean teach your how to use this wonderful organic bee elixir so your bees too can learn how to read and write just like the bees of the ancient Pharaoooohs.
