My wife and I always seem to be installing our girls on overcast or rainy days when it's raw and colder than 50 degrees. Never had a problem so I'd bet yours will be fine as long as you gave them something to eat. It's probably nice and toasty inside the hive.

When I installed it went down to 38 that night.  I warmed my sugar water to around 90 degrees.  I feed inside with quail waters.  Don't know if that is right or wrong, but I think they liked the warmth.  I put the queen near the feeder also.

placing newspaper over area where queen is caged helps, wrapping it around the frame edges where the bees stop clustering (surrounding them a little bit). Also, reduce openings. They should be fine.

Hey is that a J3 cub. ??? I flew a J3 clipped wing,     sweetest plane I ever flew. almost aeorbatic. well sorta you know. LOL Welll  thats not totally true I flew a stinson beaver with floats, that was a nice unit as well. lands on a dime. doesn't do cross winds all that well but still nice. Dad always like them stinson's , I was more a piper man myself.
