Title: Packed bees
Post by: gdog on July 30, 2013, 10:48:57 pm
I was doing a combination with a queen less hive and taking brood frames from another hive and noticed the hive I was taking brood frames from is just packed with bees. I'm thinking I should add another hive box for honey or should it be for brood?

need more details and maybe pictures.  remember that all the brood you are taking is thousands of bees that won't be there soon.
is there still a flow on up there?  if so you could probably go ahead and super them.

If you add it they will do what they want to with it, unless you run excluders.
