Title: Water Valve Removal
Post by: cdray on May 22, 2013, 11:07:35 pm
JC Small and I removed a tiny colony from a water meter/valve box. One of my friends removed a swarm from the same box last year but he left some of the old comb and the tape he had placed over the openings has long been gone. Water Valve Bees (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuvYAlEbKoU#ws)

Great video.  I carry some BeeQuick with me to clear out the cavity or branch quickly instead of using smoke at the end. Invariably stragglers loiter and visit the original location when the smoke clears.  With BeeQuick they don't seem to loiter and want nothing to do with the original location.

Hey D, thanks for the reply. I do normally carry Bee Quick but of course I left it at home that day...   David.
