That's life in the south
« on: October 17, 2010, 10:13:11 pm »
Obama says he will be making no more public speeches in South Carolina .....
He claims every time he gets up on stage to make a speech, some South Carolina cotton farmer starts bidding on him !!.

"Listen to the mustn'ts, child. Listen to the don'ts. Listen to the shouldn'ts, the impossibles, the won'ts. Listen to the never haves, then listen close to me . . . Anything can happen, child. Anything can be"

Thats just not right!  Regardless of political stance. Please review the little saying at the bottom of your post.

Someone really ought to tell them that the world of Ayn Rand?s novel was not meant to be aspirational.

And what possible use he might be put to that would be worth the bid. ('Cause I doubt BHO has EVER picked cotton.)

Might make a good boat anchor though.

Scott
"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

So....what's the myth supposed to be?  That he's the President?  Or that someone would bid on him?

Myth of the man, of his birth, of the election, of the community organizer, of his golf game, oh we could go on for weeks.

Well, beee farmer, with 15 replies and 118 views, you are the only one that scolded me, so I think I'll leave it posted. After all, the title says it all.
