Title: Building feeders and making them water proof.
Post by: RHBee on February 05, 2013, 07:33:06 am
I'm building my first feeders and want to know if anyone has ever lined the inside of the tank with a layer of fiberglass cloth and resin. See any problems with that? After it's cured you can pretty much eat off of it.

Sounds to me like it will work just fine. Bee sure to seal the entire top side.

Thanks Jim. This is crunch time. Just ordered 500 frames and foundation. Some assembly required :).

Just dip your feeders in melted wax....a lot easier.

Scott,
I don't have any way to do that right now. The only thing I could do would be to melt in pour it in. Someday I want to be able to dip my hives. But right now the startup cost are too much.
