« on: June 10, 2005, 12:24:49 am »
when is it too late to make splits, Im going back home this next week to visit my family in Louisiana, they have wild flowers blooming now and everything else has done bloomed out, my father was wanting me to make walk away splits with 3 of his mature hives, just wondering if its to late for a successful split? these hives he wants to split (3 of them) , 1 hasnt been medicated for 9 years and the other 2 has gone 4 years now with out meds. these hives is "TOUGH" and they are on regular wax foundation.

There's still time. I started a 2 pound package at the end of June in mid-Georgia. Michael says he's done splits into August and he might have even said September.

They do sound tough. :)
