3/4inch plywood migratory lids
« on: July 05, 2013, 12:11:12 pm »
Has anyone just used the lids without the end cleats? I was thinking about just making just the lid without cleats.

In the summer, just about anything will work.  I’ve even used OSB and no cleats.  The stuff expands by about 30% when it gets wet, but it holds together and keeps on going in a pinch.  It doesn’t warp like plywood.

I should have clarified, I use MDO form board, not regular plywood. I've had no problems with warping.

I use plain plywood tops without cleats but they are only for feeding.
