Hello everybody!

I am a beginning beekeeper in Romania and I watch your forum. Because I am not an English speaker, I just read, but now I have to  show you something and ask your opinion.

Your bees are cleaning the hive. Usually they are inside doing this. Your hive is very strong with young bees so these bees had to move outside of the hive. You probably need to add a super to this hive. Your English is very good.

I always kind of enjoyed how due to the concentration of washboarding near the entrance, after storms down here there'll be debris and mud splattered on the walls of the hive, and the area around the entrance will be spotless.

As mentioned in the post above it is called "wash boarding" Most folks say it is cleaning the hive but I don't think the behavior has throughly been identified as such.
