hi folks - I installed new package bees with queen couple of week sago - no brood yet (today is 4/10/05)...they seem to be thriving, filling the drawn comb I gave them with nectar - should I be concerned? Thanks.

Can you see any eggs at all? How about the queen? Mine have been in the box for 1 week and they have 3 - 5 frams drawn and most already have egg's

I also have 3-5 drawn on all four boxes, but all cells are filled with nectar. I have been feeding 1:1 constantly. think my queen is sterile?

if they have all the cells filled with nector, I would stop feeding them so they will eat some of it. She just may not have any room to lay here eggs at. I would see if after you stop feeding the them if they start cleaning out some off the cells. She would at least have the room to lay if she needed to. Some one esle that knows more than me should be on in a while. I think this is what should be done.

If there is no brood or eggs after two weeks, you lost your queen. There is still time to requeen if you do it ASAP.
