Sample Letter I send to SchoolsI offer this as a template for your own unique mailer. I suggest you keep it interesting and let them know how many helpers you will need. Also, I will place a CHECK-OFF LIST when I get a chance. Just do your best to make it enjoyable to all and easy on you. Helpers are a wonderful thing to have. They handle their stations and you only oversee the helpers. Otherwise, you play the audience and entertain them with your knowledge.
| To Whom It May Concern:
I'm writing to announce that I am very available for hosting a beekeeping theme for the Reading Arts Day. I have all new, high resolution images printed on photo quality paper, awesome 15 inch laptop computer with sideshows, and lots of equipment I would like to display. Also, I will have an interactive area setup for hands on projects. I am very excited about this project because I have such great material and visuals to entertain and amaze the students. Beekeeping is a wonderful hobby and I know that the students and teachers enjoyed my demonstrations before – they will absolutely love it this time. I need the following from you. Please read carefully, they are simple requests, but I will explain later: 1) I needed the date so that I can prepare things
on my end, scheduling, etc.
I will need the student assistance's for helping
me arrange the room, set-up props, assist with other students and projects,
and also to watch my equipment while I step away from the room on breaks.
My laptop computer is worth over $4000 and it will be playing slide shows,
demonstrating my website and a DVD Movie on beekeeping from the Discovery
Channel. Note: my laptop is alarmed, so it's safe to have an assistant
attend it while I'm away.
